“HOME SALES PICK UP SPEED”

Southland’s pace in December is the best since 2006, and the median price rises 4%.

Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Newport Beach were among the affluent areas notching healthy sales gains.

Spring season is going to start early. There are a lot of cash deals, so there is a lot of money out there, and there is amazing opportunity and great deals to be had.

The percentage of Southern Cal homes that sold for more than $500,000 rose to 20.2 percent of all sales in December up from 16.5 percent a year earlier and down from its peak of 52 percent at the height prior to 2007.
