Avila’s El Ranchito- recently re-opened in a classic CdM location, the old Oyster’s spot. Beautifully renovated, this will surely become the “in” bar and hang-out place for all locals. Family style Mexican food in a relaxed and fun setting! Make sure to try the chicken soup with a cold cerveza! www.AvilasElRanchito.com
Quiet Woman- Delicious food and one of the best wine lists in town. You will find live music on select nights and a mixed crowd at this CdM institution. The lamb chops are to die for and the martinis are cold and healthy size… Their long-time staff is one of the best you will find! www.QuietWoman.com
Bandera- Tasty rotisserie chicken and lamb, but be prepared for a long wait. Every day this favorite of ours is jam packed. It is worth the wait though….Relax at the large bar and watch some sports or hang out with your fiends by the outdoor waiting area. Reasonably priced, there is a little bit of everything on the menu. The grilled artichokes are great and you can bring your own wine with no corkage fee! We like that!

Gulfstream- Fresh Oysters and Seafood is the specialty here. A sister restaurant of Gulfstream’s, this pleasantly noisy and happening place serves great appetizers and entrees. You can’t go wrong with any of the other restaurants either. From classy Five Crowns and Bungalow to trendy Landmark and Crow Bar, there is something for everybody.
